Pastor Barbara Tengan, an Alum of Emmanuel College in Georgia, has served as a full time Minister/Missionary for the Door of Faith for over 50 years. Reverend Mildred Brostek (the founder of the Door of Faith), appointed Pastor Barbara as Foreign Missions Director where she played an instrumental role in pioneering mission work in Okinawa, as well as serving as an Interim Pastor in Levin, New Zealand. Pastor Barbara served on the Hawaii Teen Challenge Board for 25 years and helped develop a drug prevention program for high school students called, “Students Staying Straight.” After the death of her father, who served as Pastor for 45 years, Pastor Barbara took over the pastorate of the Wailuku Door of Faith Church. Since 2012, formerly Wailuku Door of Faith, Pastor Barbara Continues serving as the Senior Pastor for the Faith in Jesus Church.
